Labour Migration Government Project targeting workers from Indonesia

On 19 June 2024, the Government of the Czech Republic approved the expansion of the programme to attract skilled workers from Indonesia. The quota for employee cards has been increased from 150 to 1,150, opening up a unique opportunity for companies and job seekers.

The Labor Migration Project is a new program from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic that makes it easier for large employers to access more skilled workers for positions such as welder, electrician, locksmith, CNC operator/adjuster, SMT operator/adjuster, chip manufacturing operator and more. The program targets employee card applicants from Indonesia who are students or graduates of specifically identified schools, and between the ages of 21-29. This offers Czech employers the opportunity to hire young and qualified job seekers.

Who is the programme for?

Employers

  • Do you employ at least 500 employees in the Czech Republic?
  • Do you plan to hire at least 100 Indonesian workers for a period of at least 2 years?
  • Do you have a business activity in manufacturing and industry, e.g. in the automotive industry, foundry industry, steel industry, rubber industry, chemical industry, transport industry?

Then your business can join the programme!

Employee card applicants:

Indonesian nationals with current or completed studies at an Indonesian polytechnic aged 21-29 years with at least communicative English language skills. Applicants will be employed full-time (160 hrs/month) for a minimum of two years after acceptance into the programme, with the work performed classified according to the current CZ-ISCO Occupational Classification ( in the main class 7 Artisans and Repairers).
